Federal Polytechnic Gets Accreditation

Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji (FEDPOLEL) gets accreditation.

According to the Rector,Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Prof. Emmanuel Fasakin twelve of the academic programmes offered in the institution have received accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education.The accredited programmes include:

  • Accountancy
  • Architecture and Architecture Technology
  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science
  • Cooperative Economics and Agricultural Technology.
  • Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Civil Engineering Technology
  • Science Laboratory Technology
  • Business Administration and Management
  • Fisheries Technology and Statistics.

Federal Polytechnic Gets Accreditation

Fasakin in a statement on Monday, says the polytechnic had witnessed progress since he took over as the pioneer Rector in 2015.

“FEDPOLEL was established in 2014 to  bridge the unmet demands of secondary school leavers for tertiary education in the country.

“Just like every organisation, laying a solid foundation is critical towards building a sustainable and great institution. In April 2015, the polytechnic secured NBTE accreditation for five courses at the National Diploma level to formally commence academic activities and later added seven courses in 2019,” he said.

He  also said that the institution had been accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) to enable its students to write the professional exams.He added that it also  secured Oracles Academy approval to run its modules.

Others were Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Business Administration and Management, Fisheries Technology and Statistics.

Meanwhile, the Federal polytechnic, Ado Ekiti announces Admission.

The memo reads:

“Applications for Screening of Credentials are hereby requested from interested applicants who wrote the 2020/2021 UTME and chose The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti or are willing to change to the Institution as 1st choice.

Eligible Applicants

(i) All applicants who chose The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti and obtained a Minimum Acceptable Mark (MAM) of 150 in the 2020/2021 UTME.

In addition to the above, applicants must possess five (5) O’ level subject requirements at Credit level in not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE, NECO, GCE and NABTEB.

(ii) Any applicant applying with NABTEB (NTC) for Courses in the School of Engineering (SOE), must in addition to the five (5) O’level in (i) above possess a core subject from the Trade Related Area (TRA), and not Book Keeping, Commerce, Principles of Accounts, or Secretariat Studies etc. While applicants applying for Business related Courses can use NABTEB (NBC). For avoidance of doubt, NABTEB Business Certificate (NBC) is not accepted in the School of Engineering.

(iii) Applicants who scored 150 and above in the last UTME but did not choose The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti as 1st changing to the Institution can do so
