The (NECO)’s examinations begins October 5, 2020
The Nigerian Federal Government on Wednesday announces that the National Examination Council(NECO) Exams will begin on 5th of October and ends November 18, 2020.
This was revealed in a statement signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Goong.
The statement reads;
‘FG Rolls Out Schedule For National Examination’
“Registration for NECO (SSCE) which is ongoing will end on the 10th of September 2020
There shall be no extension for registration whatsoever,” reads the statement.
Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, made the announcement today in Abuja.
The statement also reads, “The minister, therefore, directed all examination bodies to release details of their examination timetables in the next seven days.”
NABTEB, Common Entrance Examinations To Begin
Ministry also mentioned that National Business and Technical Examination Board examination would commence in September 21 through October 15.
In summary, exams to be conducted Include;
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSCE), National Examination Council (NECO), National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) examinations.
Others are the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) for JSS 3 students.
National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for intending primary school applicants into Unity Colleges too is commencing.

He stressed that government has released a comprehensive schedule for various examinations for the graduating classes.
According to the Minister, the scheduled dates for exams include;
NABTEB examinations to commence on September 21, NECO exams on October 5, while the NCEE is to start in October 17
